The redevelopment is a multi-phase project aimed at transforming the area into the Park District. The first phase, The Oaks at Park Pointe, completed in December 2015, consists of 84 units in 15 two-story townhouse-style buildings, along with a leasing/community center. The second phase, The Iris at Park Pointe, completed in December 2016, is an 85-unit senior living community featuring one and two-bedroom apartments, modern appliances, and amenities such as a gazebo and walking trail.
